Vash
Name, nicknames, anything:
Vash. No last name. He's called the Human Typhoon and Vash the Stampede, due to a reputation of destruction following him around. There are a lot of other monikers he's been granted, but he prefers to not think about them. He prefers not to think about being the Human Typhoon or Vash the Stampede, too, but some things are ingrained in memory.
Well, he's actually upwards of 150 years old, but he really only looks to be in his 20's. If he works really hard, he can be guessed at 25. Usually, though, he winds up being accused of being unable to drink legally on Earth.
He's about 5'11, and about 185 pounds. He has blonde hair in a trademark spiky style, though his hair can get darker, depending on how often he uses his... secret weapon. His eyes are bright green, unless he's pissed beyond the telling of it, in which case, they're bright blue. His upper body is a patchwork of scars, hence the ever present red coat. Oh, yeah, he's missing his left arm and it's been replaced by a cybertronic arm.
Justin Hartley
- His red coat.
- Sunrises.
- The internet, now that he's been introduced to it.
Dislikes:
- Bullies.
- Peole getting hurt.
- Hurting other people.
Likes:
- Marksmanship. It's kind of taken to super-human levels.
- Reflexes. He can actually dodge bullets, just by calculating their trajectories, or knock them off their path by tossing rocks at them (he's done it).
- Well, he does have the ability to destroy the planet, but. That actually really sucks.
- He's really good at saving lives. But, he's not always so good at making sure their lives remain beneficial. More often than not, they wind up homeless or missing a limb or something sucky.
- He hasn't yet found his limit on finding compassion for people.
- Putting on a mask that allows him to still laugh at the world.
Weaknesses:
- He's too willing to see the best in people. It can result in people, usually himself, getting hurt.
- He hates hurting people, and is too willing to give people second chances.
- His angel arm can be triggered without his will. Which means if someone knows how to trigger it, they can use him to destroy the planet.
Strengths:
- "Born" on a ship off his home planet. Found out later that the ship was powered by another Plant like himself.
Ships crashed due to his twin's influence.
- Lost his "family" and had to fight his brother. Lost his arm during one of these fights.
- Was forced by his brother to use his angel arm destroying an entire city.
- Wandered as a nomad, saving people--but ended up with a bounty on his head due to the mass destruction he left in his wake.
- Is followed by two insurance girls trying to reduce his risk to the population--become friends.
Friends get hurt--don't they always? Is pursued by his brother's men until cornered into using his angel arm again destroying another city and taking a chunk outof the nearest moon.
- Takes on his brother after the death of a dear friend. Wins...sorta.
- Returns to remaining friends. Lives happily with Meryl until she dies of old age. Friends die one-by-one, as they are wont to do. Becomes nomad again.
- People came through a blue ring from another planet. They offered to let him come with them. He agreed, since he no longer had anything holding him where he was.
- Turns out there are worse things than living your life on the run...Sometimes he wonders if his brother was right.
To save everyone he can before he dies. If he's even capable of dying, for that matter.
He's used to losing everyone he loves. He fears becoming what he hates -- the monster everyone says he is. Also that everything he's lived for would be for nothing.
- That he seems to put people in danger, no matter how hard he tries.
- That his angel arm can be activated without his agreement or permission.
- That he's had to kill far more people than he would have preferred. Killing any is too many.
Really, the fact that he can destroy a planet and has inhuman abilities with shooting isn't enough? Wow. How hard are your standards?
Vash has two different personalities. Not like he has split personality, but there's the him that he presents to the world, and then there's the him that he actually is. He has the "funny man" mask, that most people see. It's a coping mechanism. It's the only way that he's able to find joy in the world. There's a kind of desperation to his smile and his laugh, that if people look closely enough, they'll be able to see. Most people don't look that closely. And then there's the underneath it all Vash. That Vash is a lot more serious. He carries the weight of every death and every bit of destruction around with him, and it weighs heavy on his shoulders.
Go look at the stuff I already told you.
Dude. Go read Cattie's.
